Please join us to enjoy a taco bar while listening to music by Don Wessels. The food will be catered by Bird & Co. of Portland. The menu will feature chips and salsa , chips and guacamole, seasonal salad, a build your own taco bar, and Churros and Dulce de Leche for dessert. The taco bar consists of tortillas, shredded beef, chicken, blackened fish, toppings - pico de gallo, mango salsa, shredded cheese, corn & bean salsa, pickled onions, and sauces - avo-verde, ranchero, and spicy mayo. For refreshments, we will have beer buckets curated by our bartender extraordinaire Mike Richard, a special Margarita prepared by our resident mixologist Tom Hamilton, and bottled water.
Background music will be provided by Don Wessels, who has over 3,000 gigs under his belt, from opening for acts ranging from Maynard Ferguson to Hall & Oates to a four-year bass apprenticeship with country artist Jimmy Woods. His chromatic harmonica album, On Orkney, recorded in Scotland, has been played on NPR's Thistle and Shamrock. Don's inspiration is fueled by his Parker Fly guitar, which provides a unique harmonic framework for his arrangements of songs from the American country, jazz and pop canon.
