Don Campbell, born and raised in Maine, is an Award-winning, Singer-Songwriter who has a unique and uncanny ability to sing comfortably in the tenor range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak or Dan Fogelberg, and go easily into the subbass vocal level range of country greats Josh Turner and Johnny Cash. Don’s music resides in the home of "American crossover" akin to the Eagles and John Cougar Mellencamp. Don and his band never rest – they are a high-caliber, well-rehearsed group always raising the bar.
Don and his band (the Don Campbell Band) won the $50,000.00 Grand Prize at Nashville's True Value Showdown at the Grand Ol' Opry with his original music, a Grand Prize custom Gibson Les Paul guitar from Jim Beam's Back Room Band Search, and he’s a six-time winner of the title, "Maine's Best Singer-Songwriter” from the Maine Sunday Tele-gram's Annual Reader's Poll. He has also received recognition for his Double CD Release, Kites To Fly - Celebrating The Music of Dan Fogelberg which was officially endorsed by the Fogelberg Association of Peoria. In 2020, Don was nominated as a Top 10 Finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards for ‘Best Male Artist’, he was recognized for his musical contributions and inducted into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 2021 and most recently organized and performed the 3rd Annual Flotilla to Fight Cancer Benefit Concert (2023) – raising over $82,000 for the Maine Cancer Foundation.
